Robert, On Sept 26, 1753 on the Ship "Brothers" came two STEIDLE's, Johannes and Jacob. This information was taken from the Passenger & Immigration Lists Index, Volume 3.
Pennsylvania Archives, Series 3,Vol 4,page 416, Jacob Steidley paying procincial tax in Philadelphia Co, Pa. Jacob moved to Maryland and his son Frederick moved to Virginia. When Jacob was married it was the STEIDLE version.
When he got to maryland it was STEIDLEY.
