Ann Steinberg, NG Steinberg and Maria Carmijara? born Feb 14, 1868, bapt. May 7, 1868, Chinese Camp

Carmelita was a nickname. I beleive her name was actually Maria Carmela a Monte Jara (or something close to that!!)she never learned English.

George and Carmelita Steinberg owned a butcher shop in Chinese Camp during these years. They sold it in 1868.
George Steinberg was naturalized on Oct. 20, 1864 in Sonora, CA, Vol. B, p.616
