Hi, just read about your George. He is the brother of my ggggrandfather,John Steinmetz. The dates, the name of his wife and children, all match. I do have two places of birth for George's children and where some of them died. You are missing the baby son of George's, John B,(born Nov.21, 1842, died July 18, 1933 and his wife was Belinda Eleanor Allen). I know the "vitals" on George's siblings too. In fact I have tons of information on the generations that followed. I need help with George's parents and his father's past in Germany and I need info on his mother. I know that George's parents were John Wigant Steinmetz from Germany and Hannah Hays from Virginia. What I would like to know is where does the Alden/Allen family and the Mayflower come into the picture? I would so appreciate what information you can give me. If I can fill in some information that you need just let me know. Teryl
