Seek ancetrsy/information on John Stymets (family name was formerly Steinmetz) and wife Sarah ( ) of Mercer County, PA. Family moved to Monroe Township, Licking County, OH. Daughter was Sarah born 19 Nov 1793 PA, married 14 Feb 1814 Jeremiah Willison. She died 20 Jul 1883, Monroe Township, Licking County, OH. Many off spring. Other Stymets syblings: Nellie md Ned. Hatfield, Letitia md. Elijah Foster, John-removed to Cincinnati, Mary md. Elisha Willison, Elizabeth md. Daniel Senkey or Sinkey, Keziah, died unmarried. My great grandfather Felch, a professional genealogist in the 1880's, lists Sarah (Stymets) Willison as daughter of Benjamin Stymets, who moved to Licking County in 1804 and served with general Jackson at New Orleans. It appears that an obituary published in Monroe County indicated that she was the daughter of John and Sarah ( ) Stymets, who emigrated to Ohio around 1805. Would appreciate receiving any clarification on names, dates and places. Bob Felch
