Please note my 11/06/02, posted message regarding my late uncle, John L. Steinmetz, who was born in 1900 also. I do not know what was his middle name, but just his initial "L." Neither am I certain of his birthplace, nor of his family & their roots. I always knew him in Philadelphia, where he & my aunt lived prior to retiring in FL.
These two names (including the middle initial) & birth dates are so close, (as are Philadelphia & parts of MD), is there any possibility in your genealogy that they could be related? (I have no genealogical records for him, other than that of his marriage to my aunt.)
We would like for his family to have his framed boyhood portrait.
Thank you, T. R. Kaufmann
