Dear Teryl,
I think that the Hagerstown, Md and Baltimore group probably has most of the information on Hannah Hayes. I know she was from Virginia area which at that time extended throughout Ohio. John has Phillip's smaller headstone and much older beside his.
However a recently uncovered letter reveals much about theirs and Amos's relationship. Dennis has von Steinmetz's sabre
and and Jean has his ceramic pipe with his picture on it in his Prussian uniform.
The letters I have give the much of the facts surrounding his flight from his estate in Germany.
