In her Book called " A Tree is Planted" - A family tree and a bit of history of the Stells , Susie Brunson Stell (mother of Al Stell, who supplied the Stell data for the "Malone and Allied Families" book by Randolph Malone) stated that John Dennis Stell was a son of John and Susannah Stell. She also stated that he married Sallie (Sarah) King, and that the Dennis (first use in the Stell line that I know of) was in honor of Susannah Malone's father.
This is the only place I have seen the entire name. I have seen very few Stell males that had only one given name. It would not be uncommon to go by a second given name to avoid confusion with his father.
