Thanks for the information.

I'll throw in a little tidbit here. Silas King of Newberry Co., S. C. came to Gwinnett Co., Ga.,in the 1820's. He bought from Joseph Hampton land that Hampton had won in the lottery (land in Gwinnett Co., Ga., made a county in 1820). This was land that included Main Street in Buford, Ga. This made Silas King the first non-white to live in Buford.

I live in Buford, Gwinnett Co., which borders Jackson, Hall, and Walton
