Kevin: My mother was a Stell prior to marriage to my father in 1929. I am running my side of the Stell family. I have learned that back years ago the name Stell was spelled as Still. Go to http://www.monmouth.com/~princef/still-001.html. This is good information on that site and it was just updated last week. I was looking for the John Still material and found that site.
