Sallie Stell Moon is a young widow who appears in her father's house (W.W. Stell) in the 1860 census for Lamar County, Texas.
I am searching for a possible second marriage of Sallie to a David A. Billings (my ancestor) in the same county about this same time. Marriage records show that he married a Dora Moon, but I have been unable to find anyone anywhere by this name.
Is it possible that "Sallie" is a nickname???? Sallie is the right age, and is in the right place, at the right time to have married David. She also had a year old baby listed in the census, a son. This also fits the scenario for her to have been David's first wife. (His second wife, Lucinda Tennessee Polk was my ancestor.)
