STELL, Hiram >Pike County, AR- 1860's

Well, it looks as if I may be related to nearly everyone here! I am descended from Joseph Stell & Alice Taylor, through their son, John. His son, Joseph Jolly, is my ancestor. I have a great deal of information on Joseph Jolly's descendants, except for one tiny bit of information...

Hiram (or Hirham) T. Stell, ninth child of Joseph Jolly Stell and Isabella Armstrong, is listed in the 1860 Census for Pike County, Arkansas with his wife, Charity (Brock) and three children. In 1863, his youngest, Elizabeth was born. In 1865, his widow remarried (William Dossey) and moved to Sevier County, where they are listed in the 1870 Census. So, then, What happened to ole Hiram? No death record can be found, no obituary, no military records, nothing. It's like he disappeared off the face of the earth. Can anyone help me?

Nice to meet y'all,
