I posted a message back in 2002 as Jean R F. I have some information about your grandmother.

Hermine Sophie
born: 12/3/1882

her mother: Dorothea Detjen (b: 10/7/1843; buried 6/19/1924)
Dorothea married 12/1/1871 to:

Hinrich Stelling
born: 8/25/1847

Hinrich's mother: Gesine Elisabeth Stelling (unmarried)
born: 12/18/1807
died: 3/1/1888

Hinrich's father: Heinrich Ludwig Krone (an apprentice shoemaker from Nordheim)

(Gesine had two other children by two other men - Gesine was never married.)

Gesine's father:
Jurgen Hinrich Stelling
born: 2/17/1781
married: 4/25/1806 to Anna Maria Grube(n)
died: 1/27/1834

(Jurgen Hinrich Stelling is your great gr gr grandfather and is my gr gr gr gr grandfather)

As near as we can tell the Stelling farm in Neuenwalde was acquired in the early 1770's by Claus Stelling - Jurgen Hinrich's father. The farm was passed down to the eldest son. It is now owned by my father's first cousin Gustav Stelling.

My family has a book published in 1998. It is a compilation of all the Neuenwalde church records from 1681 to 1900 and lists all the Neuenwalde families. Fascinating!

Carl Hinck left Neuenwalde for the USA in 1893.
Carl was born 2/9/1878.
His father: Claus Hinrich Hinck born: 7/31/1843
His mother: Catharina Maria Schmidt from Otterndorf
they were married 3/24/1876

Hope this helps!
