John Strickler b. Oct 8, 1808 or Dec 14, 1807? Rockingham Co., Va, married in Fairfield Co., Ohio 1 Oct 1829 to Catherine McNamee daughter of Adam McNamee and Catherine Groves. Catherine was b. 27 Mar 1804 in Maryland, she died 19 Oct 1875. John Strickler (a stonecutter) died 27 Feb 1887 in Pleasantville, Ohio These their children, all born in Ohio:
Lewis M. Strickler b. 4 Nov 1830, md. Margaret Nichols
Adam M. Strickler 8 June 1833 md. Lydia Stemen Friesner
James (possibly? Joseph?) age 15 in 1850 Census
Elizabeth Strickler b. 5 Oct 1840, dod 6 Mar 1842
John M. Strickler b. circa 1838
William B. Strickler b. 29 May 1842, d. 16 Feb 1926 in Cherryvale, Kansas, buried Cols., OH
Daniel K. Strickler b. 1845 (my great-Grandfather direct line)b. in Pataskala Ohio, md. Juila R. Troxel
Catherine Strickler b. circa 1836-7, md. Henry Swarner, lived SugarCreek and/or near Bucyrus OH
Job Strickler b. circa 1848.

William B. Strickler, fifth son of John Strickler and Catherine McNamee, married 30 June 1868 to Mary/Sarah Fouch/Foust/Foutch. He also followed in his father's footsteps and became a stonecutter. He had at least one child Alice Strickler born circa 1868 in Ohio, before he moved to Cherryvale, Kansas. His other children include:
Bertha Elmina Strickler who married Daniel Ten-Eyck
had offspring Pearl, Wm., Perry, Mary, Cora, Sedda, and Dorothy Ten-Eyck.
Sedda Strickler b. 27 Nov 1871 married C.D. Henry. lived in Casper, Wyo
Joseph L. Strickler b. 19 Dec 1872 Cherryvale, Kansas, md. Huddleston or Huddelson
Walter A. Strickler b. 19 Apr 1879 moved to Bucyrus, Ohio
Mary K. Strickler b. 8 Feb. 1881 died young
Cora Strickler b. 21 Nov 1883

My Great -grandfather Daniel K. Strickler, b. in Lancaster, Fairfield, Ohio, was married after 1870 to Julia R. Troxel and worked as a stonecutter and marble dealer in Pataskala, Licking Co., Ohio. They divorced ca. 1903, he later remarried a Rosa B. Parkinson.

Harold LaRue Strickler, b. 19 Apr 1918, Columbus, Franklin, Ohio
Dorothy Evelyn Strickler, b. 16 May 1920, Columbus, Franklin, Ohio, she md. a Clarke, div. then remarried

Kenneth Daniel Strickler, b. 20 June 1914, Van Wert, Oh
d. 13 Aug 1971, Columbus, Ohio married Bertha Lauretta Beatty b. 08 Mar 1916, Columbus, Franklin, OH. Both are deceased now. Their Children (my siblings and me) are:

Allen DeVerl Strickler
Richard Jerrold Strickler
Frederick Lee Strickler
Joann Ruth Strickler (now Zelenko)
Mary Sue Strickler (now Peterson)
We are all married, except Fred, and we all have children and some grandchildren.
