All I know is a Michael Stephan or Stephans , of the ST ;ouis area sold some 50 arces to a George Stephen's in Oneida County in 1844. Because it lists Michael Stephan on the books and deed record as being from St. Louis
He may have owned some land in the St Louis , area, And may have died in the civil war , And his father may have been a Fredrick Stephens and his mother or step mother may have been a Barbary Stephens. I am also trying locate where a Fredrick and Barbary are buiied , They were listed the 1850 and were born in the late 1700's or early 1800's . I know Micheal was a stepsom of eitherr Fredrick or Barbary who had comew from the Alsace Loraine in the late1820'2 or early 1830's.
