Waynesburg, PA Stephans - Stephens Grocery?

I am just starting to trace my family history and it is pretty sketchy as most of the older relatives have passed away. I know the Stephan lineage originally came from Germany and may have been spelled Stephen and may have even been Stephens. Just hearsay, not completely sure. I know there was Lyda and William Stephan from Waynesburg, PA who used to have a farm and Stephens Grocery Store. Is anyone any relation to them who can help me trace back further? Lyda and William (DeeDee and Pappy) had four kids if that helps..James Earle (who eventually ran the store), Helen Merle, Charles, and Allen.
Thanks. Connie Stephan Fitler, Marlton, NJ
