I am looking for information relating to the origins of Pierre Stephan who is believed to be either French/German/Swiss. He came to England in the early 1700s to work in the Porcelain factories. He was one of many renowned modellers brought to England by Thomas Turner at the Staffordshire factory. He moved around the country working for brief periods in Derby,Worcester and Coalport in Shropshire. He has many fine figures exhibited in several museums including the V & A.
If anyone can relate to Pierre or his brother John Charles I would be very grateful.
