Thank you for responding. I am searching for the parents of Pleasant McCalvin "Mack" Stepp. I know his Mother was Fanny Tamer? Stepp who married a John Douglass in Benton County, Tennessee in 1843. I don't know his Father's name. The 1850, 60, 70 census shows Mack's parents as being born in North Carolina and Mack being born in Alabama. The family I think I am looking for includes Ellis Otto Stapp, Larkin Stapp and another brother. I have seen the Scalf book and I know it included Ellis Otto and Larkin, but don't know who they descend from. I would appreciate any help.
