I'm not related to this family. However, I thought that this obituary would benefit someone.

Gene Stepp, 75, California, died December 20, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born April 27, 1927, near Tuskumbia, a son of Roe and Lucy Dixon Stepp. He was married November 4, 1944, in Versailles, to Letha J. Woods, who died December 13, 2001. A mechanic, he was a truck driver for Ralston Purina and a line worker for Cargill Inc. He owned his own garage and retired in 1985. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, California. Survivors include: three sons, Jim Stepp, California, Wesley Stepp, Jefferson City, and John Stepp, Eldon; four daughters, Thelma Fromm, Versailles, Bonnie Hern, California, Louise Stepp, Excelsior Springs, and Jeanie Pardoe, Henley; one brother, Henry Stepp, Osceola; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. One daughter Lesa Jo Stepp, preceded him in death. Services will be at 11 am Monday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Ken Mathes will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetary. Visitation will be 5-7 pm today. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
