John was a brother of my grandfather, James Jonathon. I don't think you will find that much indian blood in the Stepp line. I have been researching for 25 years and only found way back in the Lankford line a half-indian.( no documentation for that, just oral history.) This would have been John's great-grandmother. So William Robert would have been 1/32 indian from her.
By the way, do you have proof that William's middle name was Henry? I haven't been able to find that anywhere, yet I saw someone list him that way before. There's a lot of mis-information been published on this line of Stepps. Rita Stepp Ficht
