My great grandmother was Cora Bell Stepp (Jones). Her father was JOhn Henry Stepp, born app. 1849 in Gilmer Co. Georgia. We have always been told that he was as much as 1/2 indian. My grandmother has passed away and I can't even find out who his parents were but in my search of the Stepp family the original message that you responded to is the first time I have saw anything about indian blood in the family. Do you know anything about John Henry Stepp? All I know so far is that he married Elisabeth Cole and for a short time they lived in Springfield Missouri because that is where my great grandmother was born. Can you help or is there anyone who knows anything about John Henry Stepp?
