Elizabeth and Shadrack Lewallen moved from NC to Huntsville, Scott county, TN about 1856. Her sister, Jane, was living with them at that time. Apparently she died , along with Elizabeth and Shadrack in a smallpox epidemic around 1861-2. The sisters were brought up on charges of stealing corn, and Elizabeth was also arrested and accused of running a " bawdy house". These two are named as children of James ( born about 1784) in settling the estate of their grandfather, James,ll as their father was dead by then. Kathy Summers did have this on her Henderson county website as I submitted the lawsuit myself. I haven't checked lately to see if it's still there. I know she was having trouble with it sometime back.
I am trying to find another sister, Leah, who married Tonsil/Touensil Stepp. They seem to have vanished into thin air. If you ever see anything about them, please let me know.
