Mattie Varney married Thomas Burgess (Doc) Stepp. Mr. and Mrs. Stepp are my husbands grandparents. I have literally a book on Thomas. I have NOTHING on Miss Mattie. Not even her middle name. Other then the kids she shared with Thomas of whom I have all names, she is a mystery to me. I would like to know her date and place of birth, her parents names, the area she was from, how and when she died, and a to aquire a picture of her if possible. My father in law died when my husband was two and my mother in law kept his life pretty much a secret, taking it to her grave when she died when my husband as fifeteen. Mattie is listed to have had seven chidlren. Someone has to know her story. I will be happy to share my information as well. Would love the help. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
