Hello Michael, I was interested in the info you have on the Sterretts connected to the Webbs... actually I am confused because I have Maey Webb married to Mordecai Lincoln. But that is not why i am replying to your message...seems we are kind of connected family-wise.
I looked over the info at your site trying to figure how the Sterrett/webb connection was, figuring maybe it was a second marriage of something.
Looked ove alot of it and noticed the reference to the Butcher family of Clay Co. WVa.
I am connected to them also as follows:
Warrick Butcher and Mary Margaret dilly's daughter, Rachel Dora married Moses Scott Nicholas. (that info you have) Well his parents, Charles Willard Nicholas and Evaline Stanley Adkins. Evaline's brother, Thomas Jefferson Adkins and wife, Isabella Bragg are my great-great grandparents through their son, Samuel Columbus Adkins and 1st wife, Susan M. Ramsey, then their daughter Bessie May Adkins, and then my mother Orpha Miller.
In my researching of my different family branches I have found where we connect to the Boone family.
Samuel Columbus Adkins married 2nd, Fannie Dotson. Their daughter, Dora Jane Adkins married Levy Coleman Chapman. Levy's father was William Parker Chapman, whose brother Phillip Chapman was married to Lydia Mollahan, she was the daughter of William W. Mollohan and Matilda Boone. Matilda was the daughter of Andrew Boone, son of John Boone and Nancy Carr. Andrew Boone also had a daughter, Amanda J. Boone who married Columbus Hardway. Columbus had a sister, Emaline Hardway who married Amanda's brother, charles Martin Boone. Emaline and Columbus Hardway were the children of George Hardway and Barbara Jarvis, Barbara Jarvis was the daughter of Diana White and Caleb Jarvis, Caleb was the brother of Thomas Figgins Jarvis, who was my g-g-g-g-grandfather, through his son Alfred Harrison Jarvis, to his son Thomas Henderson Jarvis, to his son, Newton Jasper Jarvis, to my grandmother, Icie jarvis, to dad Ralph G. Allen to me.
Well, anyway, I guess we are related by the way, and am really glad to say hello to another relative.
So hello! Oh, by the way, I also married a Boone who I am still trying to find the ancestry on. They located in the bootheel counties of Missouri.
Barb Boone Terrell
