I have to say I got a real HOOT (*ROTFL*) out of your explanation of LNU. 8-)
(Reminds me of my father-in-law's WWII Army Air Corps records. Under "middle name" it always says "N.M.I." ... and I just imagine some poor schlepp who didn't know how to type, rather than simply hitting the dash key twice, spending an extra five minutes searching on the keyboard of a manual typewriter for the six characters to extend the bureaucratic tapdance...on every document for every soldier without a middle initial... )
