This is a long shot question. Do you happen to have information on an Alpheus Stetson? I have no date, but am attempting to make a connection to the Briggs line. I consider the name Alpheus to be quite rare, but it does appear a number of times in my Briggs line, down to and including my father. My eldest Briggs so far was Andrew, b. c. 1764.
