On 1870 Census, Rensselaer Co. NY, Vol 87, Grafton, p. 586 [LDS film #0,552,581]lists:
Warren Steward 35 yr. old farmer, Amanda age 30, ?Mary-et age 12, Ella age 6, Carrie E. age 3 and Mary Burdick age 83 in household. Believe Amanda may be dau. of Nathan T. Burdick and his first wife, and granddau. of the Mary Burdick listed here.
An Eliphalet Steward was Justice of the Peace and performed several marriages at Grafton and Petersburgh, NY 1845-1855.
These marriages found in "Justice Dockets 1845-1855" located in archives of Town of Grafton, NY.
