Coolidge Funeral Rites for Dr. Tom Steward--
Coolidge, Arizona, Tuesday, August 8, 1967
Dr. B. L. STEWARD, 60, died yesterday in his home. Dr. STEWARD, affectionately known as "Dr. Tom," practiced medicine here for 32 years until his retirement early this year. Dr. Steward, third of three brothers, all doctors and sons of a doctor, was born in Elkton, Missouri. He studied at St. Louis University, received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee and served his internship in St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix {Arizona}. He joined his brother, Dr. H. B. STEWARD, in practice in Coolidge. With the exception of time served with the Army in Italy and Africa during World War II, he had practiced only in Coolidge. Wife, Rose, and a sister, Mrs. Avis HOBBY, both of Coolidge, survive.
