The Bounty Land Act of 1850 provided 40 acres Bounty Land to those who served in the Militia during the war. Solomon applied for Bounty Land in 1851, and was granted a Warrant for 40 acres in 1852. Solomon sold the 40 acre Warrant to Joseph C. Matthews.

Solomon's widow, Emaline Sticher, 54 years old at the time, applied for a War of 1812 widow's pension in 1878 (Widow 20576). In her application Emaline stated that Solomon had died 5 February 1871.
