Stigall DNA Surname Project
Posted by: Tom Stagles (ID *****5246) Date: March 04, 2007 at 03:19:04

A DNA Surname Project has been set up for those sharing any of the known variants of the Stigall surname. In England, it appears that all of our families originated in the county of Suffolk in East Anglia. Maybe we are all descended from just one family. We hope to prove, or disprove this theory through DNA testing of the Y chromosome that is passed solely through the male line from father to son.
For further details regarding this project and theories on the origin of our name, please see our website at www.stagles.co.uk
Known variants of our name are: Stigall, Steagall, Steggles, Steggle, Steggel, Steggell, Steggall, Steggals, Steggalls, Stegalls, Stegall, Steggal, Stygall, Stygal, Stigle, Stygalls, Stygaall, Stagles, Steggall, Stagoll,
regards
Tom Stagles
