Hi Janice,

I'm actually responding to your post regarding the Rowe family of Claiborne Co TN. The 1830 census records show that Lewis Wilburn was living next to a Rowe family. I no longer have access to these census records, but am relying on recall, since this surname has stuck in my head for nearly 20 years. Lewis Wilburn Jr. b 1802 (either NC or TN) was married to a woman named Elizabeth. I suspect (without proof) that she was Elizabeth Rowe and or closely related to the Rowe family of Claiborne Co TN. There was a man named Wilburn Grissom, and also a Wilburn Grizzle.

Anyhow, reviewing your various postings was quite interesting. Thank you.

Vikky Wilburn Anders in San Diego
