I, too, am a descendant of Martha (Patsy) Stigler and Michael Snyder from Culpeper County, VA. Their daughter Lucy (my ancestor) married Aaron Fray, and Aaron and Lucy migrated to Howard County, Missouri, in the 1820's. Both of them are buried in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Armstrong, Missouri. I descend from their daughter Nancy Jane Fray.

I have very little information on the Stigler or the Snyder families, and have only just discovered the information posted on this site about Samuel Stigler and James Stigler, which has been very helpful to me. The info I do have, which lists twelve children of Michael and Martha, mentions that John Snyder married Malevia Yager. Does this correspond with what you have? This information goes on to say that Martha Stigler Snyder died in Cooper County, Missouri, on Aug. 30, 1842. (Michael Snyder died in Virginia on January 27, 1815.) Again, does that correspond to your information? Apparently, her daughter Martha and Martha's husband Rev. Thornton Rucker had settled there in Cooper County as well.

I would really appreciate hearing from you and sharing other data.
