Thomas Claxton b: 1768-1778, Fauquier Co., VA; d: 25-Apr-1808 Fauquier Co., VA;

m: Alice Weaver m: 17-Jan-1798 in Westmoreland County, VA security George Deatterly;her sister was Susanna Weaver; b: 1775; d: Aug. 1856;

Widow Alsey Claxton, who is the Alice Weaver above, married James Stigler Sr.on July 14, 1806 bdsm- Pope Claxton; James was appointed guardian of Richard Claxton, son of Alice, on 25 April 1808 as per recommendation of Jeremiah Claxton as he was too infirm to do so.

Alice is appointed guardian of Frances and George W. Stigler on 27 March 1820 as James had died.

My question is your research mentions a Dully Stigler married Pope Claxton. Do you have any documentation on this marriage?

Fauquier Co., VA will records mention a Dully Claxton as inheriting part of Mildred Stigler's estate and part of James Stigler's estate in will book-pages: 9-103 and 9-106?
