David,
I am beginning to think there are two Samuel Stillwell families that are being mixed up. Email me direct and I can give you more info on the Samuel I have. I have Samuel b ca 1727, or earlier, married to Ann Shacklett. Samuel lived in Loudoun Co, VA. I tracked him there along with the Shacklett families. There were no Hoffmires in the tax lists I viewed. I found where he had signed a note in 1748 in Bucks Co, PA. He had to be at least 21 yrs old in order to legally sign the note. Joseph, son of the Samuel you listed was born abt 1756, Loudoun Co, VA. That came from his pension info that I found. The Delilah you found (nee Delilah Robbins) is the wife of Samuel's son also called Samuel. They married 16 Feb 1795 in Washington Co, KY. The younger Samuel died abt 1797 in Washington Co, KY. Delilah then married, Jan 19, 1800, Washington Co, KY, to John Berryman Snelling.
