I am desperately looking for more information about gggrandfather - either James Francis Stillwell - or Francis James Stillwell (Stilwell) b. 1840 in NY - married to Martha J. Perry b. 10 Aug 1839 in Dutch Hollow (?) NY.
I found one census record that lists his father as "Matherson" but I can barely read it and don't know if that is the correct spelling/name.
James and Martha were married ion 1859. They moved from NY to Michigan where most of their children were born. Then to Joliet, Illinois - where the are both buried.
I can not find anything about either one of their parents. If anyone has any information about them, I would be so appreciative! Thank You for your time!!
