John Stilwell died ca. 1823 Shelby Co., KY. His will book 6 page 83. Family History Library Film #259249 is microfilm of original record. Alice Stillwell in her Stillwell Newsletter printed a transcribed copy years ago.

App. friends John Stilwell Jr and Stilwell Heady
in prestents of Daniel Stilwell ____Thatcher ____? Dale

Abigail Reed Stilwell made several affidavits in Rev War Pension Records of Joseph Young which she names her father as Thomas Reed 13 May 1842 OrANGE cO.,In; Levi Bridgewater who married Patience Stilwell that she was present at their wedding in Fayette county PA.

1850 census Abigail is living with family of Elijah chamberlain in Washington Co., IN.also in that household was Rachel Reed Elliot sister of Abigail. There are no Stilwell's living on Washington County.

The will of John proves he and Abigail did not have children. She lived with relatives after John died.
