Hello: Do you have anyone in your Newtonards Stitts that may be connected to William b.Oct.1858 and Mary (Stevenson) b.186l Stitt. These 2 were married in Glasgow 1881,born in Belfast,William may have been born in Scotch Row, Mary the Newtonards area. had children Barbara,Mary,Richard,Margaret,Lily,Willie,Hugh, Jeannie,Tommy. They lived at l08 St.Leonards St. Ballymcarret (Newtonards) area most of their life. I believe they were first cousins. William's father was Richard Stitt, mother Jane Stevenson. Mary's father was Hugh Stevenson, mother Jean Frane. I think William's faather Richard had brothers William, Jimmy, Sammy, Tommy, Hugh, and Dick (Richard). Perhaps we may make a connection, let me know. Freda
