there is a Sam sr. and a William sr.- brothers who came to Armstrong Co.
Sam's children are John, Samuel G.William,
Jacob, Betsey and Andrew (my line).
Williams children are William Jr. Catherine,
Samuel, John, James, Elizabeth, Margaret.
This William is not to be confused with
their father also referred to as William Sr.
who came to America about 1740. As you see
the naming patterns are similar and dates
are important. I don't know an Alfred,
however, but the Stitts did live on Taylor
Run abt 1870-1915.
