Hi glad to find someone from the old home-
stead. My Stitts were suppose to be from
the Galloway-Dumfrieshire area in some info,
the Ettrick District in some info and also
Lanarkshire in other info. I believe these
areas are close and may actually be the same
locations. Anyway many lowland families
migrated to Northern Ireland then to America.
I'm sure you already know that. My family
came about 1750, the oldest being William.
I don't know if there is any connection
between us, David was not a common family
name. I do, however, have an interest in
your family members from the "old homestead"
area. Have any general info, I'd like to
hear it. Thanks Pat.
