Do you found out anything else about your STITT family? My ggrandmother Charlotte Crane was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan in 1848 and was living with the Robert STITT family in the 1850 census. I suspect that her mother, Maria, was Robert's daughter and may have died at childbirth, but can't prove anything yet.
