William,
The William Stitt, Sr. in your line is my 6g-grandfather, and our information agrees about his place/date of birth and marrying Elizabeth Morrison. My records have it, however, that their children were William, b.1755; Samuel, b.1760 (my 5g-grandfather); and Jacob, birth date unknown. Our family legend says that William "Sen'r" Stitt came to America with his two brothers, John and James. Unfortunately, all three of these names were used repeatedly in the family lineage, which makes it hard to clear up the confusion. So, were John and James brothers, or sons? I'd reallly like to know.

By the way, I checked the reference page you mentioned, but something must have been changed. The reference came up as one page, mostly listing members of a Faber family. Maybe I did something wrong? At any rate, thanks for your information.
Dorothy
