Lost files - WARNING TO ALL

Hi everyone: My computer accumulted dust over the years and began to overheat, unknown to me. Well, files began to come up "error" and then my floppies were corrupted. It froze up, then completely died. NOTHING was recoverable. I lost everything... WARNING: have your computer cleaned once a year. And maybe make a spare back up. Over 6000 names to be checked out from my extensive paper trail in notebooks and a rat's nest of papers stacked here and there. What one would call a genealogist's nightmare. Regards to all, Nancy
