Back when I first read Jane Eyre, I learned that "St John" was pronounced Sinjin (very like Sension), exactly in the same way that St Clare was pronounced Sinclair. I don't know why, but I do know that's the way it is. And I doubt it's arbitrary. Notify Administrator about this message?
