Look at the 1900 census. There is a Joseph and Margaret St. John still in Corinth. It states they are from Canada EAST. That means they are most likely French Canadian and the surname was really St-Jean and most likely from Quebec. They will be most likely Catholic and the Catholic church may have some records.
