I have Daniel b. Norwalk, Ct 1699/1700 md. to Mary Benedict b. Norwalk, Ct. Dec4, 1699. HOWEVER, there is also a:
Mary Benedict, b. Dec. 4, 1699, Norwalk, Ct. md. Isaac Royce on Feb. 10, 1713. She would have been 12/13 at the time. I do not have a date of marriage for this Mary and Daniel and I am trying to figure out if they are the same person. If they are, did Mary bring children into her marriage with Daniel?
Isaac died in March 23, 1729. Mary and Daniel both passed away in 1761, so I can assume that if this Mary was twice married, that she was married first to Isaac.
Nathaniel St. John is listed as the first born child of Mary and Daniel BUT born in 1720-1, 8 years prior to the death of Isaac. I was hoping to identify Nathaniel as a stepson to Daniel, but now I cannot make any such claim.
Does anyone have any clarification for this?
