St. John family 1800s in Trumbull Co. Ohio and Jones Co., Iowa

Is anyone working on this line in the 1800s? There was a substantial group of St. Johns who moved from NY then Ohio, perhaps by way of Pennsylvania. I am most interested in the line that includes Justus (Orline St. John Alexander's gen 7; descended from Mathias 1,2,&3, Matthew 4, Mark 5, and Thaddeus 6). Justus had a son William who went to Jones County Iowa in the mid 1850s, although he may have done some wandering back and forth.

William had a son Charles Abraham b. 1861 who was my great grandfather. I have photos of Charles and William. There are good census records back to Justus and a marriage record for Charles but not much else. I would like to find more for Charles and William since several things are missing; i.e. death date and place for William. If anyone is working on these people perhaps we can trade info.

Thanks!

Ted St. John
