As I read it, James is the father of Matthias' supposed "brother" James. Hence, James is the father to Matthias.

I have now found a Thomas Sansone, buried in London 13 September 1619. The writing is cryptic and difficult to wade through. The registries go back to the mid 1500's depending on the place/monks.
