We also bicycled to Ste Jean les Thomas in 1999. No one there knew anything about the family but I did get a photo of the bell tower the family built in 1040.

They also caled themselves de Satilly occasionally because it was a nearby town.

Where do you live. I would like to join for that scotch some time.
