William St. John of Franklin Co., NC
Posted by: Richard Colbert (ID *****7152) Date: January 14, 2012 at 13:39:41
  of 1821

William St. John and his family lived in Franklin Co., NC during the early and mid-1800's. In 1822 he paid the surety for my 2nd great-grandfather Ira Colbert to marry Mary (PollY)
Cooper. Ira was the son of Thomas Calvert/Colvard/Colbert who was appeared in 1790 Franklin Co. census as Thomas Colbert, but spelled his name Colvard in his will of 1846. Mary Cooper was the daughter of Robert Cooper. William St. John, John Pinnell, Robert Cooper, and Thomas Colbert lived on Little Shocco Creek along the Franklin/Warren county border. I'm trying to determine if William St. John was a possible relative.
