It looks like James and Anne Sension's family was hit hard by the plague. Both Mary and Martha Sension, children of this James and Anne perished in 1647. This record is recorded in the St. Nicholas, Cole Abbey registry, which is where the presumed birthplace of Matthias was.

The surname Sension seems to be appearing mainly in London. As opposed to Berkshire.
