Sorry, Abraham St. John is one of my brick walls... I think he might be the grandson of William St. John (c1680-c1721 in Essex Co., VA) ; son of Thomas St. John (c1640-1698) & Mary Howerton Day St. John (c1660-1727), who married a Billington after Thomas died) but cannot link him to any of William's sons Richard, James, Thomas, Isaac & Abraham (b. about 1703). Frances St. John Stow's father was supposedly born about 1736 which would make him the right age to be the son of one of these boys. Also he named two of his sons Isaac & James (Revolutionary War pension records for this James St. John state he was born in Essex Co., Va Jan. 22, 1756)...
